When we got the boat there were no mattress. so we started looking to buy mattress... we tried to spend as little as passable (unless its safety gear) and new mattress would cost hundreds of dollars. so we looked to buy foam and that also turned out to be expensive...
so we salvage foam from old sofas:
using spray glue we connected the reused foam to desired shape
sewing covers:
and fitting in the boat:
for the cockpit (ירכתיים) we made a waterproof cushion from reused packaging material and hiking matt (מז"ש):
